Yoshinoya Cosplay Competition

A. INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION:
1. Competition is Open to All.
2. Characters are can be from ANY MEDIA; eastern or western. May it be from games, movies, series, comics, or any published visual work.
3. Competitors may pre-register for the competition.
4. Skit Performance must be at least 30sec. and last no more than a minute.
5. Performers may only have up to 1 assistant/ninja to help them with their costumes and/or helping them with their performance.
A.1. PAIR/GROUP COMPETITION:
1. Similar rules as Individual competition except (see below):
2. Skit Performance must be at least 3 minutes and no longer than 4mins.
3. The pair can only have up to 1 assistant/ninja.
A.2 IMPORTANT RULES:
1. Props that are gun replicas are not advised (Guns that are based in real-life) .
2. Weapons made of metal are prohibited, the same goes for the use of explosives, incidiaries and/or pyrotechnics.
3. Any prop that would damp the stage (such as liquids) are prohibited. We would also prefer Props that would not damage or make a mess on the stage as it would obstruct/ injure other contestants and host.
4. Cosplayers are to present a skit for their performance. They must submit an audio for this performance, the format of the audio must be in mp3. We will provide our own battle music for Cosplayers who did not (individual and pair) submit any music. The Cosplayer may request no music at all if his/her skit involve a different kind of performance.
5. There is a dedicated changing room for cosplayers at the backstage.
A.3 CALL TIME/ PROGRAM
1:00pm – Start of confirmation and on-site registration
2:20pm – End of on-site Registration
2:40pm – Call time. All proceed to back stage.
3:00pm – Start of Program/ Opening Number
3:05pm – Welcoming Remarks w/ Yoshinoya Video / Games
3:20pm – Introduction of Competition’s Rules and Mechanics / Introduction of Judges
3:50pm – Start of Individual Cosplay Competition
4:30pm – End of Individual Cosplay Competition / Intermission number / Games
4:50pm – Start of Pair Competition
5:30pm – End of Pair Competition / Games & Gyudon Eating Contest
6:30pm – Awarding
7:00pm – Closing / End of Program
NOTE: Failure to arrive and present at 2:40pm will cause an immediate disqualification. We strongly encourage everyone to be close by before the program starts.

3. IMPORTANT: To complete your registration, you must purchase a Special Beef Bowl made solely for the event at Yoshinoya at P99. Submit the receipt to the registration table during the confirmation of registration (1:00pm – 2:20pm) during the event day. We will sign your receipt and complete your registration. Assistants/ Ninjas may not purchase the Beef Bowl but for the PAIR category, each must get a Beef Bowl (2) for their registration.
C. Criteria for Judging:
Craftmanship: 40% (Level of difficulty in making the costume and accuracy)
Performance: 40% (Stage Performance and On-stage Presentation)
Overall Impact: 20% (Character Portrayal)
D. Prizes:
SOLO COMPETITION
Overall Champion - Male – P3,000
First Runner Up - Male - GC P2,000
Overall Champion - Female – P3,000
First Runner Up - Female - GC P2,000
Overall Champion – Kiddie (for ages 12 and below) - P3,000
PAIR/ GROUP COMPETITION
Pair/Group – An all expense paid trip (for 2) to Manila (back and forth) by Cebu Pacific Airlines w/ visit to Star City! A 2 night stay at Crown Regency Makati. And get to be a part in the live audience with Show Time!
